More than 1,000 H1N1 cases in Delaware this month

The latest numbers from the Division of Public Health show 1,011 confirmed cases of H1N1 since October 4. Between October 18-24, there were 265 confirmed cases of H1N1. Among those, nine people were hospitalized, seven have been released, one is still hospitalized, and one is dead. State health officials announced yesterday that an 80-year-old woman from Sussex County died from H1N1.
Health officials say they expect to get more than 26,000 doses of injectable flu vaccine, plus more than 2,500 doses of the nasal spray vaccine FluMist. Next week, schools will receive the vaccine to give to students.
