Counties in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey are offering drive through flu shots at various locations. Jack Whelan is Vice-Chairman of Delaware County Council. He says they have used fire houses for the past three years for the clinics.

Whelan: The residents line up in their car, we take four cars through at a time you would have your sleeves rolled up we would have nurses on each side of those cars, stick out your arm you are getting your shot and you are on your way.

Whelan says the drive through clinics have been very popular and are great for the elderly and those in wheelchairs. They also serve another purpose as they are a test of mass-inoculation practices in case they are needed in a flu pandemic.
