I smoked around 25 to 50 bowls a day for three years of top grade cali headies/ kush and stopped cold turkey 8 months ago and am still sober, so fuck u if you say its addictive. Oh and the only way it may be a gateway drug is because the ppl that sell it usually do harder drugs too, thus peer pressure, but if weed was sold at a regulated dispensary, the liklihood of such a phenomenon I would argue are practically zero. British surgeon general proclaimed cannabis is the safest drug known to man, even over tylenol; you can overdose on tylenol, not cannabis. I will tell you that I have a brain injury, and I still used it without harm. If you are still living in the stone age and are nocking a drug you have never tried, I suggest you take a joint to the head and see if your opinion doesn't change in a fuckin hurry, goodbye stone age...welcome to the age of the stoners. Don't be afraid to try it, you are taking a risk one million times greater by smoking a cigarret than a spliff. Don't believe me? Look up US beaurau of statistics regarding American death tolls and see for youself, proof straight from the gov't you trust soo much, no matter how good they may be at misinformation a decieving through statistics, even the best mathmatician can't turn zero%which is the number of casualties in recorded histiry from weed) into a number or coefficient that supports it's illegality and it's exaggerated harm the government would love for you to believe. It is said that the greatest societies in earth's history have understood the concept of zero, so starr understanding.

People in this country have fought, argued and been arrested for this cause since the day the prohibition of cannabus was enacted under the Reagan administration, the gov't says they operate and legislate based on the peoples voice and interests, when will they live up to that standard they set for themselves? The country and states individually spend in excess of 30 million per state and several billion at the federal level destroying a plant that has never killed so much as one person, to put it another way, more people have died from a coconut falling on their head that the plant repuvlican pussies are soo afraid of.

Marinol, the synthesized version of thc carries with it few adverse side affects, but still more than naturally ocurring cannabis. Not only does thc offer relief to chemo patients, those suffering from multiple schlerosis and a vast array of other ailments, but it has also been proven in several studies( virginia, 74', germany, 00', and canada, 09') to prevent against brain tumors and breast cancer, but most astonishing, it kills cancer cell by reinitiating apoptosis within the affected cell, not harming healthy tissue.meaning it is essentially the cure for cancer or atleast the most promising treatment; but since you cannot patent or trademark a plant there is no incentive for pharm companies to support it, not to mention it is big money for police. My suggestion is decriminalize it, stop pointlessly labeling harmless citizens as criminals and allow research to replicate previous findings and realize the benefits of legal weed far outweigh any cons and vastly outweight the pros of arresting someone every 38 seconds for violating the most preposterous law in thus fucked up country, that I love, but would like to see wise up...

I personally feel that it should be used for medical puposes only not for people with addictive personalities. I'm a cigar lover. I don't drink.. popping pills isn't the right thing for me anymore... to many risks.. don't want to end up like the pill out the bottle that alice always have to eat drink or swallow. i believe in natural healing. And feel there should be an adults decision ... you think they can raise the price of alcohol yes they can / so why not vote for goldstien?! love princess chopper chopper

It already has been proven that cannabis use suppresses violent crime. This fact, along with a total refutation of the so-called "gateway drug" theory can be found in chapter in marijuana in Substance Abuse: A Comprehensive Textbook, 4-th Edition. I was just thinking, what the situation would be if (havens forbid) it could be shown that cannabis incites, instead of suppressing, violent crime. I just can imagine what "banners" would already be raised by the opponents, what "battle cries" would have gone out of their camp. They would demand a total, airtight ban on all cannabis products. But the true situation is that cannabis use SUPPRESSES violent crime, (so please do forgive us for bringing it up) along with its therapeutic qualities, with no lethal overdoses or physical withdrawal syndrome with this substance...Big difference from alcohol, isn't it? I believe that judges and law-makers should give these facts some serious thought.

I agree and I have heard that Marinol is ineffective. If man is allowed to try and synthesize this organic medicine to use as medicine, isn't that enough for people to see how helpful marijuana is?

I highly agree with these statements:"if people were not so intolerant and truly were empathetic of the plights of the disabled medical marijuana would be a reality in all 50 states. people who awaken each day without pain should thank God"

I truly wish medical marijuana was a reality throughout the country. I was born with a rare genetic disorder that causes my joints and ligaments to be weak. This has caused me pain every single day and there is no cure or operation that can fix this. Marijuana makes my life tolerable.

i have been on horrible pharmaceutical painkillers for 8 years since i was in a motor vehicle accident (idiot blew a redlight and struck my car at 60 mph). i have undergone 2 spinal operations and i am awaiting a third. these medicines are going to ruin my liver. if people were not so intolerant and truly were empathetic of the plights of the disabled medical marijuana would be a reality in all 50 states. people who awaken each day without pain should thank God ... in a tragic second it could be irreversably changed.

Mr. FDA do you understand you are backing up an industry hellbent on profitization over natural cure? The FDA has openly refused the use of certain organics for treatment simply because they cannot put their label on it... Nature has always provided humans with an ability to cure. Only in recent centuries has a prescribed "DRUG" been necessary. I have seen this in my short life and refuse to accept any prescribed medicine. I had depression and took trial pills for it. you know what happened...? I stopped caring about my actions and got into more trouble and started doing any drug put in front of me. By my own choice I smoke pot. I was jailed for 10 months and forced to take drug and alcohol treatment when I was never convicted of any violent crime. I gave pot to my friend and he set me up... I did my time. I am on parole and now i drink almost everyday because its legal. Before I rarely drank. I wouldn't even think of getting in my car after having a few beers but when i smoke i pay more attention and are more cooperative to posted speed limits. My anxiety is through the roof and they wanna make me pay for doctor visits and pills that MAY OR MAY NOT WORK when all i gotta do is take a few puffs and I am relaxed and under control? Where is the negatives? Where is the truth? DOES ANYONE EVEN KNO HOW THEY MADE MARIJUANA ILLEGAL IN THE FIRST PLACE>? Look it up and you will see no facts stating that it was ever a bad thing, but you were required to get permission from the government which they NEVER ALLOWED TO BEGIN WITH!!! I have offered facts. You offer big words burryed in denial and misunderstanding of the truth. I have seen marijuana save lives. Can you say the same for alcohol, cigarretes, morphine, fentonyl...? How many more pills will they put on the market that will give you 8 problems effecting your life just to fix the 1 your trying to fix? How many ppl will be pushed to pain pills instead of actually being treated? My grandmother was put in the hospitol for a broken arm and whiplash. She almost died when they overdosed her with vicodin... She didnt even like tylenol. That was the week of thanksgiving. Now they say she probably won't be out for christmas. THANK YOU FDA FOR YOUR LIFE SAVING AGENDA, but maybe we should leave some choices to the citizens, especially when it comes to our own bodies.
