Radio Times: African genetics

Wednesday, May 27th, 2009

Meet geneticists Sarah Tishkoff and Scott Williams. Over the past decade, they have collected thousands of blood samples from African populations. They analyzed the DNA to produce the most extensive survey of African genetics in history. We take a look at the results of their survey and discuss its implications for human disease. Sarah Tishkoff is Associate Professor in the Departments of Genetics and Biology at the University of Pennsylvania and Scott Williams is an Investigator in the Vanderbilt University's Center for Human Genetics Research.
