New Jersey will have new Republican congressman
Wednesday, November 3rd, 2010
Republican Jon Ruynan defeated incumbent Democrat John Adler in the hotly contested race in New Jersey's 3rd Congressional District.
The former Philadelphia Eagles tackle says he's proud to be a conservative Republican and thanked Tea Party members for helping him to victory.
Runyan says he'll give it everything he has to get the country back on track.
"I probably will be the largest human being on the hill,” he says. “But we're going to take that largeness and actually shrink the size of government.”
In his concession speech, Democrat John Adler said he'll help Runyan with the transition and says he wants him to succeed.
