Philadelphia unveils new high tech mobile command post

The City of Philadelphia is getting a new mobile command vehicle with all of the latest gadgets.

The almost half million dollar Mobile Command Post is state of the art technically with communications equipment, video cameras and mapping equipment. Police Commissioner Charles Ramsey says the almost 40 foot long vehicle was absolutely needed by the city.
Ramsey: It's a forward command post that can be deployed to the scene of any event that maybe taking place you've got video capability you've got capability to receive messages print maps it's really essential for a city like this to have this kind of capability.
The new mobile command unit is to be used by the city's Office of Emergency Management. Federal funding paid for the new command post.
