National attention for NJ's Governer's race

The New Jersey Governor's race is getting plenty of national attention and money from both political parties.

About $5 million dollars has been poured into the New Jersey Governor's race by the national Democratic and Republican parties. Julian Zelizer is a professor of political science at Princeton University. He says the governor's race in New Jersey will be also be seen as test of President Obama's popularity.
Zelizer: When President Obama came to speak in support of Governor Corzine, all of a sudden people started to speculate on whether his endorsment would work, what that would say about his presidency and if it doesn't work does that mean the democrats are in trouble.
The polls have Republican Challenger Chris Christie ahead by over five percentage points but Governor Corzine has been eating into the gap. Mommouth University pollster Patrick Murray says Christie's lead is going down as more people are paying attention to the race.
