The last time Arlen Specter brought his message of healthcare reform to Philadelphia – here's what he heard.
Specter is likely to face a similar crowd tomorrow at an event he's hosting in Lebanon. It's a stop on the Americans for Prosperity bus tour.
Amy Menefee is their spokesperson.
Menefee: We've been accused of doing a lot of things that actually were not us, and we've told people, hey we've never encouraged people to be disruptive. That's not anything we would ask our members to do. We want people to go, ask questions of their members, make their concerns heard.
But Democrats and their supporters say the group encourages a mob mentality.
Officials say top White House aides have counseled Democratic senators about coping with disruptions at public events. Specter says his public events will continue as planned, even if there needs to be additional security.
