Senator Bob Casey is the latest target of a pro-life group that's traveling the country. Local and national activists gathered outside the Archdiocese of Philadelphia Thursday and called on Cardinal Justin Rigali to withhold communion from Casey if the lawmaker backs Sonia Sotomayor President Obama's pick for the Supreme Court. Sotomayor has never directly ruled on whether the Constitution protects a woman's right to an abortion.

Operation Rescue founder Randall Terry is making a 12-city tour. He's calling on religious leaders across the country to deny communion to Catholic senators who support the Supreme Court nominee. He says politicians need to live out their words.
Terry: it's not enough for Senator Casey to say, Oh I'm pro-life, and then allow this woman to take the bench. He has to spend political capital and be consistent with his campaign promises. We're tired of pro-life senators seducing us with their words and give money and volunteer man hours and then our vote – and then they throw us away like a mistress after the election.
Cardinal Rigali declined to comment on the subject.
A written statement from Senator Casey's office says the senator is strongly inclined to support her nomination, assuming the satisfactory completion of the confirmation process.

Randall Terry is only interested in forcing his twisted views on others using threats and letting other people do his dirty work for him, and then pretending he had nothing to do with the killing, wounding, and intimidation of healthcare workers. In the end, he'll get his, and I'll be there to have a good laugh about it!
