Delaware sports betting meets major opposition from NCAA

Delaware Governor Jack Markell's idea to legalize sports betting has met major opposition. The NCAA has taken a stand with a big bargaining chip saying it will ban Delaware from hosting playoff games if sports gambling comes to the First State.

Governor Jack Markell says he understands people are upset. But he says they should be upset with the NCAA, not him.
Markell: Yeah look I've attended many playoff games here in Delaware myself, and I think that anger really ought to be directed at the NCAA for coming up with new retaliatory and inconsistent policies that they've never applied before in Las Vegas.
The governor says the Las Vegas Bowl is a perfect example of the NCAA allowing a college playoff game in a state that also allows sports betting.
