A rousing spectacle of Celtic music, dance, and ceremony, The Band of the Irish Guards and the Royal Regiment of Scotland continue a proud tradition of pageantry at The Grand. Flurries of colorfully kilted musicians capture the military precision and musical artistry of the British Isles. Dating back hundreds of years, the Guards will perform both traditional folk tunes and other familiar songs. And of course, don’t forget the bagpipes! The Grand, Mar 14th, 3 p.m.
Armed with an arsenal of instruments, Mythica takes listeners on a sonic roller-coaster ride. Whether it’s a a funky Celtic jam, jaunty bluegrass tune, or driving folk rock ballad, Mythica’s songs are inventive yet accessible, fresh yet familiar. Learn how to plant your new bare root tree, make sure that your new tree settles in and gets off to a great start. Pick up your tree and join us for a training class on planting technique. In part two learn how to raise money for neighborhood trees, urban forestry grants training, and learn how you can start a tree planting project for your neighborhood.
