Art on the Town

As part of Wilmington’s Art on the Town program, the Delaware Art Museum joins other cultural institutions in the city to offer extended hours and free evening admission on the first Friday of the month. Delaware Art Museum, Friday, February 5, 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Native Perennials: Sustainable, Colorful & Wonderful

Stephanie Cohen is described as the “Perennial Diva” for her experience and knowledge about all things perennial plant-related. “The Perennial Gardener’s Design Primer,” a book she co-authored with Nancy Ondra, is a best-seller, and her spots on QVC have brought her entertaining style to a wide audience. Delaware Center for Horticulture, Thursday, February 11, 7:00 – 8:00 p.m.

Family Movie Night: Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs

The most delicious event since macaroni met cheese. Inspired by the beloved children's book, the film focuses on a town where food falls from the sky like rain. Kent County Public Library, Tuesday, February 9th, 6 p.m.

The Man in Black: A Tribute to Johnny Cash

The show delivers the raw prowess that made Johnny Cash a 20th century pop culture figure while capturing his ability to cross musical genres, age and ethnic barriers to bring a classic sound that is immediately recognized today, like "I Walk the Line," "Folsom Prison Blues," and "A Boy Named Sue." Schwartz Center for the Arts, Friday, February 5 and Saturday, February 6, 7pm.

An American Songbook 2010

Ken Skrzesz and Doug Yetter, present their all-new concert for one performance only. This year the talented duo will present music from Guys and Dolls, Oklahoma, Jekyll and Hyde, Meet Me in St. Louis, The Secret Garden, She Loves Me and the current Broadway sensation Ragtime among others. Cape Henlopen Theatre, Sunday, February 7 at 3:00 p.m.
