Trouble in Toyland is the name of the 24th annual Public Interest Research Group report on hazardous toys that can be purchased in stores.

Concerns expressed in the report include excessive noise coming from toys, such as play cell phones that when held up to the ear can cause hearing damage or this dinosaur toy that also can cause hearing damage. Catherine NGO is a spokesperson for the Philadelphia branch of the PIRG.
Ngo: 18 deaths from children's toys resulted in 2008 that's the most recent year where data was available. 3 out of those 18 were from choking incidents balls, balloons are very common choking hazards as well as small parts of toys, or just small toys.Congressman Chaka Fattah says discount toys from out of the country have to be scrutinized especially for small parts and toxic paints.
