Scott Detrow
Scott Detrow covers state politics and government for WHYY and Pennsylvania's other public radio stations.
Before working at the Capitol, Scott reported on politics and anchored afternoon newscasts for WITF-FM in Harrisburg and WFUV-FM in New York City.
Scott grew up in New Jersey and Wisconsin, and graduated summa cum laude from Fordham University with degrees in political science and English. Scott has won a national Edward R. Murrow Award for a series on the Pennsylvania National Guard, and embedded with its 56th Stryker Brigade north of Baghdad in 2009. He also won a Robert F. Kennedy Journalism Award for a radio documentary he produced on South Africa's AIDS pandemic in 2006.
He's an unapologetic Yankees fan, and amateur griller and cook.
