Bill Hangley
Bill Hangley is a freelance reporter and editor, and a regular contributor to WHYY's local news department.
Born and raised in Philadelphia, Bill cut his teeth as a writer with the Prague Post in the Czech Republic; later he spent years working in this region's nonprofit sector as a public policy analyst and organizer.
Bill is a 2003 graduate of the Columbia School of Journalism. He pays for most of his mortgage by screening reader-submitted jokes for Readers' Digest.
