It was 1950 when a Phillies team known as the "Whiz Kids" faced off against the New York Yankees in the World Series. Now 83, Robin Roberts, was the Phils ace that year. He says the team ran out of steam after winning the Pennant.

Roberts: If we had played the world series September the 9th we would have been an awful good club. We were a cocky bunch, we were happy and tired and it showed up, it showed up offensively, of course they didn't throw chopped liver at us. So we were tired, I will say that, it had been a struggle to get there.

Roberts says baseball is a different game now then when he pitched, saying pitchers were overused in the 50's. He says he believes the Phillies have a chance to even the rivalry this time around.
