The Mayor's office and Free Library of Philadelphia joint project promotes reading, literacy, library use, and encourages Philadelphia area residents to come together through reading and discussing a single book. WHYY's Dave Heller interviewed the author of this year's selection, "The Soloist: A Lost Dream, an Unlikely Friendship, and the Redemptive Power of Music" Steve Lopez.
