Welcome to Flicks, a WHYY program devoted to exploring the latest creations from Hollywood. Each week, WHYY film critic Patrick Stoner provides up-to-the-minute coverage of top films, stars and moviemakers. Stoner's signature programs — the three-minute Flicks, capturing interviews with the stars and the one-minute Quick Pics offering the week's "best bets" — appear on dozens of PBS stations nationwide each week. Host Patrick Stoner has a B.A. in Theatre and Speech from the College of William and Mary, an M.A. in Drama from the University of Virginia, and he has completed his doctoral courses in Drama (ABD) at the City University of New York Graduate Center. He is a graduate of the National Critics' Institute at the Eugene O'Neill Theatre Center; he is a founding member of the Broadcast Film Critics Association; and, he has been reviewing films at WHYY for over twenty years. Flicks and Quick Pics appear on dozens of PBS stations nationwide each week. He also taught "Introduction to Theater" and "Acting in Film" at the University of Delaware.
