Teen chef and food blogger, Nick Normile, has mastered sous vide, dined at top restaurants, and has a thriving catering business. Before he headed back to school, we caught him for a live webchat. Watch the replay as Nick anwers questions about cooking delicious summer produce, preserving it, or planning for wholesome, delicious school lunches.

High Tunnel farming caught my eye because its extended growing season adds to the amount of local produce we get. While farm manager Aviva Asher was tidying up the winter crop to make way for spring, I discovered another benefit of local growing: use what you’ve got.
