Classic Strawberry-Banana Smoothie

An easy, healthy eye-opener to start the day on the right track.

Size: per cup; Calories (kcal): 110; Fat (g): 0.5; Fat Calories (kcal): 5; Saturated Fat (g): 0; Protein (g): 2; Monounsaturated Fat (g): 0; Carbohydrates (g): 25; Polyunsaturated Fat (g): 0; Sodium (mg): 20; Cholesterol (mg): 0; Fiber (g): 3

Yields about 3½ cups


  • 2/3 cup orange juice
1/3 cup low-fat vanilla yogurt
  • 1 banana, peeled
  • 2 heaping cups (12 ounces) individually quick-frozen strawberries


    1. Put the orange juice, yogurt, banana, and 1 cup of the berries in a blender. Blend using the pulse option (or start at a low speed and gradually increase to high).
    2. Once blended, add the remaining berries one at a time through the jar cap’s fill hole while the machine is running. Blend until smooth.
