Cranberry Orange Relish

Here’s an orange cranberry relish that is delicious, but you won’t have those can rings emblazoned on the side.

Makes about 2 cups


  • 1 large navel orange, washed and dried
  • 2 cups fresh cranberries


    1. Cut the orange into 4 pieces and pulse in a food processor until coarsely chopped. Remove to a medium bowl.
    1. Coarsely chop the fresh cranberries and blend with the orange. This will be tart so you can add a little sugar or honey to taste. Chill before serving.

High Tunnel farming caught my eye because its extended growing season adds to the amount of local produce we get. While farm manager Aviva Asher was tidying up the winter crop to make way for spring, I discovered another benefit of local growing: use what you’ve got.
