Market News

Exploring The Markets
As the Spring season starts gearing up, the year round markets continue to provide a wide array of produce, meats, poultry, dairy and other goods. Look for Jerusalem artichokes, beets, carrots, pea shoots, Asian pears, onions, and even cranberries for salads and other creative dishes. Plus, apples, pears, raspberries, mushrooms, root vegetables, greens, kale, mustard greens, arugula, spinach, Brussels sprouts, winter squash, parsnips, turnips, rutabaga, potatoes, sweet potatoes, garlic, herbs, honey, fruit and nut butters. All varieties of tofu and grains are available at most indoor and outdoor year round farmers markets and also look for apple cider. Some markets offer fresh and frozen fish selections as well as frozen vegetables.
