Trying to improve
Three years ago the state of Delaware put more money in six under performing schools. The aim was to create better accountability with the hopes that doing so would improve learning. One of those schools is Warner Elementary in Wilmington. We visited Warner to document how the school is trying to improve.
First Person: Governor John Carney
Governor John Carney has had a busy first six months in office. A new budget was just passed on July 2, but the Governor called it a ‘missed opportunity.’ Governor Carney joins us this week to discuss that and more.
Ladybug Music Festival
Since 2012 Wilmington’s lower Market Street has hosted a summer music festival known as the Ladybug Music Festival. With us to share some thoughts about it are the two organizers, Gayle Dillman and Jeremy Hebbel.

First Experience: Ansel Adams
Ansel Adams is famous for his detailed photographs featuring America’s landscape, including national parks. You have probably seen large prints of those photos. Now the Biggs Museum in Dover has an intimate look at some of his earlier work. It includes prints by Adams in the 1920’s through 40’s. First Experience presents a snap shot of his work.
