A good start

Governor Jack Markell’s budget calls for less than two-tenth’s of one percent in new programs. One of the programs the Governor wants to add is the Nurse Family Partnership. The program could be a better way to help first time, low income mothers improve their parenting skills. In our First Look, we went along for a home visit to see how the program works. In Delaware, Lt. Gov. Matt Denn has been working to increase the number of first time mothers helped by this program and he joins us this week on First to talk about the program.

First Experience: The Clayton Theatre

The Academy Awards are coming up on March 2nd, so we thought it would be a perfect time to take you to the movies. For 65 years the Clayton Theatre has been a part of Dagsboro. The theatre, which shows movies on film, spent 2013 trying to move into the digital future. First Experience heads to the movies, showcasing the way things were in 1949.
