University City resident Michelle Dixon says she’s a lifelong Philadelphia resident who has been cheering for the team since she was young. She has been a fan through the bad times and good times and is happy to celebrate:

Fishtown resident J.T. Ramsay had huge smile and was dressed in full Phillies gear. He said he’s been a fan forever and that the win was a big day for him:

David Faris was in West Philly at Abbraccio watching the game and was especially happy about how the championship dought ended:

Rona Rosenberg and Mary Zubca commented about the unusual circumstances surrounding Game 5:

West Philadelphia resident Tara Miller hugged the Millcreek Tavern bouncer Dee Rosenderry as the Phillies clinched the World Series title. The two of them share their thoughts:

Jack Gillespie, owner of Millcreek Tavern, says he was at Veteran’s Stadium in 1980 when the Phillies last won the World Series. This one, he says, is different:

27-year-old West Philadelphian Michael Cook was not even born the last time the Phillies won the World Series in 1980. He says that this win means a lot to him and his beloved city:

Celebrations across the city erupted when the Phillies won the World Series on Wednesday night. WHYY’s Tom MacDonald reports from the party at the Ballpark.
