Children’s etiquette….to brat or not to brat
by Lari Robling ~ November 14th, 2008. Filed under: Culinary Arts.
This Saturday on Chef’s Table, Chef Jim Coleman and dining and culture correspondent Lynn Rosen raise the issue of children and etiquette. What do parents need to teach their kids in this day and age of seemingly ill comportment? “Please” and “thank you” are obvious, but are “Yes, Ma’am No, Sir” still de rigeur?
Should young boys be taught to pull the chair out for their grandmothers? Are we raising a generation of Miss Manner’s worst nightmare? So, what is acceptable behavior for our youth? What should ALL parents be teaching their children?
