KNBC in Los Angeles hires Alycia Lane as weekend anchor

Former CBS3 anchor and all around drama queen Alycia Lane has landed on her feet. She was fired in January 2008 after being charged with assaulting a New York police officer. Those charges were later dropped. Lane has been hired by the NBC affiliate KNBC in Los Angeles as weekend anchor and general assignment reporter.
On the KNBC website, Lane is introduced to its viewers as a former TV anchor in Philadelphia.
Lane previously spent five years as the principal weeknight anchor for the 4, 6 and 11 pm newscasts at KYW, CBS’s owned-and-operated station in Philadelphia. Within her first two years at KYW, ratings for the station’s 11pm newscast grew 32% and jumped to second place for the first time in a decade*.
The only thing they left out was that Lane is also very adept at creating news too. No mention of her punching a police woman and later calling Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell’s cell phone to make sure “he heard her side of the story.” She later claimed that it was her boyfriend Chris Booker who called the Gov. No mention of her then co-anchor Larry Mendt who secretly read her emails and lost his job over it.
Alycia Lane begins her new job tomorrow.

Good Riddance. This woman went after several married men and hit a cop and lied about everything.
Plus she wasn’t very good and I never ever remember her reporting on anything.
I feel bad for Larry Mendte - a good man - I hope he ends up back on the air in Philadelphia.

I hope she grows up and realizes most people are not given a 2nd chance in the real world.
She left Philly after a wake of bad press.
Either the west coast is more tolerable or just
too dumb to realize it won’t be long before she leaves a shit storm behind in your city too.
She is High Maintence!!!
Good luck with her and let me know how she works out for you in LA.
Good ridence from a Philly boy
