One of the best things to see at the IMAX Theater in Philadelphia was not the main film but this seven-minute film shown as the opening-act. As part of my routine, I troll through various websites plugging in the word Philadelphia to see what’s being written and show about us. Some times I catch an interview with a Philadelphian on a national program that I missed. Today, I stumbled upon this video on YouTube. It was released in 1990 by SBK Pictures in Ardmore, PA. That company does alot of corporate films and some IMAX films. You may remember SBK’s other IMAX movie “Symphony Philadelphia.”
If the film were remade today, I’m curious what places would you film and tell us how you would make it interesting. What time of day would you film? How would you frame the shots? Would you show it in slow motion? If you’re bored enough, feel free to go shoot your own homage to Philadelphia and if it’s any good we’ll post it.
