[UPDATE: I forgot to turn comments off so to my commenter who got through before I turned off comments, I have your submission and I'll send to Masashi. Everyone else, please email mhanada (at) whyy.org with your replies.)
We got some great response to weeks 1 and 2 of our photo scavenger hunt so we’re going to bring you one more week of the contest. This isn’t to say that we won’t bring this fun activity back in the future but we don’t want to go to the well too often. We’re also interested in any feedback that previous participants have for us. How can make this contest even more interesting? Ideally, we’d love to have the photos be “user generated” and come from our readers with as much interesting trivia about the subjects of the photos as possible.
You can share that feedback with each of the two “answer” posts that we’ve put up already or wait until this Friday when we will post the answers for week 3.
Check out the photos below. Like before, you can email your answers to Masashi (who is responsible for the stunning photos we’ve been using so far) at mhanada (at) whyy.org. The first respondent who can identify by name and/or location each of the three objects pictured below will have their name featured in “Heading 2″ format (that fancy orange color) in the center of the post. Please feel free to share any additional information about the objects… heck, the information doesn’t necessarily have to be true. Never let the facts get in the way of a good story!

No hints for any of them. If there’s anything that the first two weeks of this contest have shown me, it’s that we have plenty of folks in this city are perfectly able to identify just about anything we put up there with no help from me.
Finally, a bonus picture:
Back story to this photo is that I saw this object on one of my many walks, runs, bikes or skates through the city and I got to wondering what it was, why it was where it was and how many other weird, random things are out there. Essentially, it was the inspiration for this whole exercise. So, winner of the contest will still be determined by the first respondent to email Masashi with the correct identifications for the first three pictures but special mention will go to anyone who identifies (by location or name, if one exists) of the bonus picture and can tell me something interesting about it.
Let the emails begin!
