This guy sells real estate in California and was probably spamming us and accidentally became our 2000th Twitter follower.

Today at 1:38 p.m., a fellow name Abel became the 2,000th Twitter follower of WHYY’s It’s Our City civic engagement website. Abel is a 47-year-old real estate agent in Sacramento, Ca. While he may have found our site serendipitously, we’d like to believe he is a man who admires Philadelphia from afar and who might have passed through the city and admired our many murals, the bell and fine selection of  public radio stations.

According to Twitterholic.com, It’s Our City continues to have the 9th largest Twitter following in Philadelphia. Many thanks to all of our Twitter followers for helping keep our website going.

Congrats! The power of Twitter is gaining slowly but surely. I just read an article on a CNN blog that doctors are Tweeting while performing surgery :-\.
