We want YOUR Philly Inauguration photos

I just posted at a little more length about some local angles to the Inauguration over on our politics blog, Y-Decide but I also wanted to see if this audience could help us out. WHYY News will be producing a number of features in the coming days about the local preparations for and reactions to the Inauguration. Where will the good parties be this weekend? Are people celebrating because of President-elect Hopeful Changiness or is it more of a “Ding, Dong, the witch is dead” attitude? Are you heading to D.C. or is your place of employment doing something special for January 20th? Share your stories in the comments section or email them to us (with your contact info) and we’ll share them with our reporters who may give you a call.
Most of all, we want your photos. The picture above is a visual representation of Philly’s Inauguration preparation that I happened to see on my way to work. That house has been counting down since at least the high 400s (and possibly longer) until the end of the Bush Administration. Are there more such examples out there? Send us a picture of anything you see that represents how Philly is preparing for next Tuesday. You can email it to city (at) whyy.org or upload to it Flickr and share it with our brand new Flickr Group.
