Fumo trial bombshell: Gov’t witness has been emailing Fumo

Talk about an unreliable government witness. Prosecutors this morning said Leonard Luchko, who once worked for former Pa. State Sen. Vincent Fumo, has been emailing his old boss since the Fumo trial began. Philadelphia Inquirer blogger Robert Moran reported this on his live blog. In addition, Luchko has apparently been blogging under a pseudonym. Luchko is the former computer technician for the senate who says he helped erase emails for Fumo. 6ABC reports that this latest debacle could force the trial to be put on hold while both sides catch up on Luchko’s blogging career.
Luchko is still facing his sentencing hearing. Can’t wait to see how his judge will view his notion of what it means to be cooperating with the prosecution.
You’d think a guy who got in trouble over e-mails in the first place would be a little more cautious about what he did with his keyboard.
