In the latest round of “kick the mayor” Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter and his Library Director Siobhan Reardon had to play defense for nearly three-hours at last night’s town hall meeting.  Around 275 residents from the Kingsessing section of the city hammered the two for their plan to close the Kingsessing Library which sits on the same city block as where last night’s town hall was held. The moment Reardon introduced herself she got booed and that pretty much set the tone for the rest of the night. The meeting lasted three hours and ten minutes making it the long of the seven town hall meetings and it also produced the largest African-American turnout so far with black residents making up just under two-thirds of the audience. The city will air this video on its cable access channel 64 tonight at 7:00pm.
