WHYY’s It’s Our City to provide video coverage of town hall meetings

WHYY has been selected by the city to produce video coverage of eight Town Hall Meetings throughout Philadelphia to explain the city’s budget cuts. The first meeting is scheduled for tomorrow night in South Philadelphia.

Videos of each town hall meetings will be available at the It’s Our City website the following day along with an Mp3 audio files.

Also, each town hall meeting can be seen at a later time on the city’s cable channel 64. (see schedule for airings)

Format: At each session Mayor Michael Nutter plans to make an opening remark and provide a short overview then open up for a one-hour Q&A session. In addition to the mayor, The Managing Director, Deputy Mayors, Finance Director Rob Dubow, Budget Director Steve Agostini, Police Commissioner Charles Ramsey, Fire Commissioner Lloyd Ayers, Recreation Commissioner Susan Slawson, L&I Commissioner Fran Burns, Streets Commissioner Clarena Tolson, and Fairmount Park Commission Executive Director Mark Focht, and other department and agency heads will all be available to answer questions.
