what am I missing? I only see a pile of rocks…

Keep up the good work, Alan.

Yeah, the screen shot is a pile of rocks at this hour, but i’ve gone into YouTube to change the screen shot but it says it could take 6 hours for the new picture to appear. So Sorry folks for the pile o rocks, but the mural is really nice and in a few hours, a better screen cap will appear.

Editors note: Until the picture changes, think of the pile of rocks as a metaphor for the election. From these stones, he shall build a temple of the people. Or as I wrote in an email to the producer of the video, it’s a caterpillar about to become a butterfly. When you are working with interns you must help them see the positive in every situation.

Thanks, AT. I didn’t realize it was a YouTube clip. I was stuck in traffic on my iPhone, but when I clicked it, the vid played. (Normally there is a big arrow signifying that.)

An awesome mural, I’ll be getting down to photo that soon…

Seriously? On Hope St.? It’s too perfect!

I guess the plans for the Nutter mural have been cut from the budget?

[...] It seems there’s no end to the as-yet-unsubstantiated hopes people have attached to Barack Obama. Even before he was elected, artist Michelle Angel Ortiz gathered locals in Fairhill to paint an Obama mural — the kind of tribute paid to martyred civil rights leaders or people who were already president and already did something. (Drew Lazor posted about it, along with a roundup of other Obama murals, on Monday.)From WHYY.org: [...]
