Sarah Palin gets mixed reception in South Philly

Sunday, September 28th, 2008 at 4:18 pm - by Matt Campbell. Filed under: Politics.

Sarah Palin was at Di Bruno Bros in South Philly this morning where she met military moms for coffee. Some joggers who came in, surprised to see it was the Republican Vice Presidential candidate, and one of them began booing loudly before leaving. It’s also reported that another said “What the F is she doing here?” Fox News wrote it up on their blog since one of their TV crews was there to film the event. Palin is visiting Philadelphia, where she is preparing for her Vice Presidential Debate this Thursday against Joe Biden. She is expected to leave the area tomorrow. Special thanks to WHYY intern Benjamin Bradlow for catching this on the internet.

Well at least each candidate is doing their own campaigning. I wasn’t surprised people are boo-ing her but I’m sure it always happens in politics.

November 4th shall be very interesting, I just hope people make their decision the right decision.

She should take the hint - wish I had been there! I’m surprised she’s showing her face after the Couric interview.

Philly is a tough town to visit if you are unliked. I have seen what the locals do to performers that they don’t like at the local venues. =:0
The responses she got were just “typical” Philadelphian response & it should not be considered a big deal :)
