The WHYY Mercury Society

The WHYY Mercury Society is a special group of leaders whose support of WHYY enables us to carry forth our vision and mission into the community.

Each day, WHYY strives to bring its audience rich, original programs on television and radio, such as Thomas Eakins: Scenes from Modern Life and The Pennsylvania Railroad on TV12 and Fresh Air with Terry Gross and Sunday Showcase on 91FM. We also connect with the community through our service areas, including Arts, Culture & Humanities, Educational Services and Wider Horizons.

When you take the extra step to join the Mercury Society, beginning with a donation of $1,200, you become part of an important group whose generosity strengthens every aspect of WHYY's service areas, programming and community events.

By partnering with us as a member of the Mercury Society, you will receive unique benefits while helping us to challenge, inform and inspire our region's diverse communities. In addition to receiving Applause magazine each month and the Mercury Society member card, which is good for discounts at businesses and cultural institutions throughout the region, you will also be invited to receptions and special events at the WHYY Technology Center and in the community.

Here, you will meet such WHYY radio hosts as Terry Gross, Dr. Dan Gottlieb and Marty Moss-Coane, as well as other PBS and NPR personalities. You will also have the opportunity to be part of a live studio audience and meet a host of celebrities during WHYY's membership drives. These are just a few of the many exciting benefits designed to extend your off-air experiences with WHYY.

Your generous support strengthens and builds upon our tradition of engaging every citizen in the life of this community. To learn more about the Mercury Society, call (215) 928-2416.
