American History 101 Patriotism has hit an all-time high in the United States, but how much do Americans really know about the history of their own country? Two WHYY Home College Service programs provide a refresher course:

The American Adventure (Tuesdays at 4 a.m.) weaves together events, places, people, art and artifacts to bring to life the conflicts and consequences of our nation's early history, while presenting America's human, political and economic stories.

American in Perspective (Fridays at 4 a.m.) focuses on the development of the U.S. since 1877, chronologically analyzing the people, events and forces that made America what it is today.
